Clumsy

This week I:

Went to work with toothpaste smeared on my skirt.
Fell down during step class, breaking my fall with my hands and getting a painful bruise in the process.
Twisted my ankle while just, you know, walking.
Dropped my transit pass in the lobby of my office building.
Inadvertently dumped my keys, a lipstick, and a pair of earrings out of my bag onto the street.

I do not know what is causing this sudden clumsiness.

Okay, also?  This past weekend I took J out for breakfast, and I saw Gemini's parents at the restaurant.  In all the time I dated Gemini, and in the year since we broke up, did I ever once run into his parents?  No, I did not.  But a few days ago I did, and for a while there I felt like I had a gaping hole in my insides.

I wasn't prepared for that reminder of how suddenly "I love you so much" can turn into "I don't know what I want."
